Vivian Chigozie-Nmonwu is the Lead Partner at Vi-M Professional Solutions. She is an innovator, tech entrepreneur, tax and financial consultant of many years.
Vivian is a fellow of ICAN and CITN member. She has several certifications from Harvard Business Publishing on taxation, leadership and business management.
Her years of experience includes being the tax champion for Deloitte’s ‘Working as One’ cross functional team; a group consisting of individual champions from each of the firm’s service functions, charged with: Identification of cross functional selling opportunities, cross pollination of ideas across the various industries, new services offering identification and product / solution development.
She was also assigned to pioneer the tax solutions for the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) based financial statements during its implementation stage in Nigeria. She worked with the IFRS faculty and the Deloitte UK Centre of excellence on this important assignment. She and the other IFRS team members helped many companies in diverse industries become IFRS compliant- both in accounting and tax requirements.
She is a strong believer in collaborating with clients and all stakeholders, disruptive and ground breaking innovations, entrepreneurship, institution building and wealth creation.
Her experience in taxation covers transfer pricing, direct and indirect tax compliance and advisory services, expatriates and personal income tax services, tax due diligence, tax optimal business structuring, processing of tax holiday incentives etc. rendered to clients in virtually all industries.
She has written many articles and publications, and was a regular columnist on Business Day newspaper. She pioneered and championed the weekly ‘Tax Discourse’ (tax technical) publications, in the Guardian Newspaper, every Thursday, in partnership with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) for the tax education of taxpayers across Nigeria.
She has trained 300 + tax officials, on IFRS and understanding financial statements; 1,500+ MSMEs on understanding tax and navigating the challenges; repeatedly ran trainings sessions on radio on understanding tax and navigating the challenges. She has also served in speaker capacity at many tax seminars / workshops.
She currently engages in training Catholic MSMEs (in partnership with the Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos) in tax, accounting and other business topics.
