According to the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), reporting financial institutions are expected to file their first reports under the Common Reporting Standards Regulations, by 30 September 2020.
To facilitate sensitisation and preparedness, the FIRS has scheduled a series of web-based events to engage with reporting entities (money deposit banks, asset management companies, insurance companies, securities trading firms, etc) and their tax advisers with a view to educating them on the Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) legal provisions, reporting process and use of the Common Reporting Standards (CRS) Infrastructure.
The events are to hold on:
- Tuesday, 4 August 2020- 10.00am to 1.00pm
- Wednesday, 5 August 2020 – 10.00am to 1.00pm.
Interested organisations/ participants are required to forward the list of their delegates to aeoi.seminar@firs.gov.ng containing the organisation’s name, the participants’ names, their designations, corporate emails and phone numbers.
